Stendal Plantation is located in a hilly terrain in an area where the Jutland ridge flattens out towards the former Alhede. The site is surrounded by forest.

Directions:
The site is located at Jagtjunkervej approx. 500 m west of the old forester's farm Stendalgård.
There are parking spaces at the entrances to the forest respectively south (Stendalvej) and east (Papsøvej) of Stendalgård.
The shelter is one of 4 bookable shelters on the site.
In the eastern part of the campsite there is also a non-bookable shelter.
There is water, a packed lunch house with barbecue, fire pit, multipurpose toilet with changing area, tables/benches and horse riding on the site.
