In Blokhus and Lønstrup you will find Galleri Sandløberen – an artist community created by Lone Kristensen and Jan Björn. Inspired by nature's shapes and colors, the two artists create unique works ranging from figurative to abstract, from graphic to spontaneously modeled.

Two artists – two expressions

Lone Kristensen has a background as a designer from the Danish Design School and works both figuratively and abstractly. Her inspiration is often drawn from the landscape and the movements of the sea, which is reflected in her graphic approach to painting.

Jan Björn has developed his very own technique, where he uses the edge of a stirrer to "model" the motif on the canvas. This self-taught method gives his works a special signature with depth and structure. Although they both have nature as a source of inspiration, they interpret it in their own way. Whether you are on a summer holiday by the North Sea or enjoy the raw nature in the autumn and winter months, Galleri Sandløberen is worth a visit.
